This book already helped me.

The good...
I hear about James Lehman a lot. He deals with tough kids and helps parents learn to deal with them as well, even parents that have had trouble for years with their out of control child/teen. I was shocked to see something available from him for only .99 so of course, I snatched it up.
The stories vary which to me is a good thing since almost everyone can find a case study similar to theirs. And the advice he gives these parents is spot on, I used a few the day after I read it with my oldest son and he was super upset, BUT, it worked. He did the garbage; he got up for school the next day with no problem too.
The following day I caught him in a lie and since we had discussed the consequences for lying he had to give me his cell phone and he did, with no attitude.
The not so good...
Man oh MAN, there a lot of sales links to buy his Total Transformation program. Now, if there would have been say one at the beginning and one at the end then I'm fine with that, especially for a .99 book. But it was at the beginning at the end and after every single story, it was bit much.
My suggestion to Mr. Lehman is to take a few of those ads out

An excellent resource

This book should be MANDATORY READING for every parent before their child reaches the age of 2! I never dreamed my daughter would be a difficult teen -- we were so compatible and "on the same page" until she reached puberty -- then all hell broke loose. I wish I'd found this book five years ago. Dr. Lehman's insights are sensible, and his solutions plausible. Save your sanity, and you redeem your child. Read this book and apply the principles it shares!

Necessary Read For Parents Of ADHD Kids

This book may be called "Transform Your Child", but it should be called "Transform Your Life". Bottom line: it's a NECESSARY read for parents of ADHD or ODD kids.
